A chemical peel is the process of applying chemicals to the skin with the intention of causing exfoliation, destruction of the skin in a controlled manor. The depth, strength, and pH of the peeling agent will determine the amount of reaction in the skin.

  • Lifts away dead skin cells

  • Stimulates at the basal layer, which increases cell renewal

  • Refines the outer texture of the skin and diminishes fine lines

  • Evens skin tone - lightens and brightens skin

  • Firms and tones skin - increases and strengthens skin integrity

  • Minimizes enlarged pores

  • Improves acne conditions

  • Reduces sebaceous activity and surfaces impurities

  • Increases circulation and promotes overall healthier skin

How Do Chemical Peels Perform?

All peels exfoliate dead cells, speed cellular turnover and increase collagen and elastin production

Most peels work by dissolving dead skin cells and causing minor injury to the epidermis; this injury stimulates collagen and elastin production

TCA coagulates (solidifies) protein in the skin, mainly Keratin, and causes necrosis resulting in rapid sloughing and resurfaced skin.

Peels actually dissolve this “glue” allowing cells to shed faster. Speeding up the skin’s natural exfoliation process can instantly restore a more youthful glow to the skin and address other subtle signs of the aging process
